Hello everyone!!

The Covered Bridges Half Marathon is coming up-- June 1st! This year I'm running for one of CBHM's non-profit partners.

I'll be running CBHM for a non-profit called The Family Place. This is their mission: The Family Place delivers comprehensive programs designed to strengthen positive relationships, teach essential skills and promote enduring healthy growth for families with young children in the Upper Valley and surrounding communities. Their work includes "critical quality-of-life issues, including child safety, financial stability, healthy development, mental health, literacy and education, food and housing security." 

I'm excited to run with The Family Place because I believe that every child has fundamental rights to life, health, wellbeing and safety, and that money should not determine whether any child possesses those rights. Childhood sets the tone for patterns and behaviors that can exist for the rest of life. Providing a safe and comfortable growing space for all children should be a priority and a basic standard. Join me in the Covered Bridges by donating $1.

We are a team of runners supporting The Family Place in its 33rd year of providing education, support and services to Upper Valley children and families.

Our team members have committed to raising at least $500 each by running in the Covered Bridges Half Marathon on Sunday, June 3, 2019. Money from fundraisers like the Covered Bridges Half Marathon is vital to The Family Place because it isn't earmarked for any specific program; instead it can be applied to wherever the need is greatest. It's only with the support of our generous community that we can provide continuous, comprehensive services to every family!
